About the Market Analysis Unit

We work with analyses of the pharmaceutical and pharmacy markets. The unit is responsible for monitoring the development of the pharmacy market and establishing the pharmacies' trade margin. In addition, we conduct market analyses and evaluations of drug use from various stakeholders' perspectives; regions, state, pharmacies, pharmaceutical industry, and patients. We also have several government assignments in various areas.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for someone with experience in conducting market analyses, assessing profitability, and making forecasts based on sales statistics and financial accounting. You will be an important part of a team of experienced economists and analysts. Often, our questions revolve around how changes in regulations may affect the operations of various stakeholders. Therefore, you will participate in producing reports that describe and draw conclusions from analyses of developments, both at a general and detailed level.

Your tasks include analyzing the economic conditions for individual actors as well as the market as a whole, conducting cost calculations and assessments based on various types of information. You will also analyze the development of the pharmacy and pharmaceutical markets. Part of your work involves managing the financial support to pharmacies in rural areas, which means being responsible for the application process, follow-up, and reporting. You will also participate in internal investigations, work with referrals, follow up on projects, and carry out assignments from the government. Additionally, you will support other units and departments within TLV by analyzing data and assisting in investigative work.

To gather knowledge, you will collaborate with industry actors, industry organizations, and other authorities. You have access to detailed sales statistics through TLV's and the E-health Agency's databases, as well as external services for financial accounting.

We want you to contribute to deepening and developing our follow-up and analysis work within the department, thereby improving our processes.

We are looking for someone who has

• a university degree in a field that TLV finds relevant for the position, focusing on financial economics, business administration, or economics
• at least five years of work experience in a qualified analyst role
• financial analytical skills and experience in conducting financial analyses of companies, as well as a good understanding of how to calculate and analyze profitability measures
• very good skills in Word and Excel
• experience in writing reports and decision-making documents
• very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.

It is advantageous for the position if you have

• knowledge and experience of competition issues or other work with regulated or semi-regulated markets. It is also advantageous if you have experience in pricing goods or services
• experience in handling relevant statistical programs, such as R
• experience in leading projects.

When you work with us, you may have several different assignments and tasks at the same time. The assignments can vary in complexity and duration. Sometimes you work independently, but often you collaborate with other analysts and various professional groups. This may include economists, lawyers, pharmacists, health economists, medical investigators, and dentists.

As a person, you are analytical and can problematize both details and overarching contexts. You need to be able to work independently, take initiative, and propose solutions. Additionally, it is important that you can drive the work forward and complete it. You should have a very good ability to explain things simply. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Employment Type

Permanent employment, full-time, starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date in August 2025 or by agreement.
